Link-Up started as a result of Odyssey Magazine being published every second month and which catered for Transvaal and the Western Cape. There was a need for smalls adverts to cover the intervening months. This was a simple printed sheet of text. I think each issue was a different colour.
The original logo was drawn by Rose de la Hunt on a cyclostyle stencil. When I took over Link-Up East Cape from xxx xxx in about year 2003. I personalised the original logo by changing the mountain range (probably the Hottentots-Holland) to depict the three Hogs of Hogsback. Recently I added the colour overlay but it seems too garish.
Say something about the butterflies
Link-Up East Cape was printed by photocopy done in East London. Stapeling, folding, sticky labels were done in-house in Hogsback. Hogsback post office could not cope with the 1000 to 2000 envelopes so they were franked at Alice Post Office.

Initially the new Link-Up East Cape will be web and email based with revenue from adverts.
A printed version, as before, will perhaps be available, but the logistics and cost preclude this at present.
Advertising rates should be very reasonable.
These will be FREE until I get the invoicing system working.
